Fisher House Foundation
The Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. There are currently 44 Fisher Houses around the world. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.
There is at least one Fisher House at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Annually, the Fisher House program serves more than 10,000 families, and have made available nearly 2.5 million days of lodging to family members since the program originated in 1990. No family pays to stay at any Fisher House!

Homes For Our Troops
Homes for Our Troops is a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. Homes for Our Troops is strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001.
It is our duty and our honor to assist severely injured Servicemen and Servicewomen and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.
A national organization, Homes for Our Troops continually has approximately 30 homes in various stages of construction across the United States. The homes provided by Homes for Our Troops are given at NO COST to the Veterans we serve.
